Step-by-step instructions for connecting Azure

Before you start, OAuth access must be enabled in Azure DevOps.

Go to organization settings / policies and activate “Third-party application access via OAuth”:

Connect your Azure project

  1. Sign in to your Railtown account and choose the project you’d like to configure. You can do this either by clicking the gear icon from the dashboard or in the project sidebar

  1. Once project settings click the ticketing tab select the Azure Devops in the external project type dropdown and then click Connect Azure DevOps

  1. Once you click the button you will be redirected to Azure DevOps to authorize with us. You will then be returned to the config page to select the board that you’d like to connect
  2. Select the Azure board you would like to connect and then click save changes

  1. Congratulations! you have successfully set up your webhook. You now want to map the ticket columns to your Kanban board. These will need to match the column names in your Azure board

Broken Webhooks

If the webhook is broken we will autodetect this. You can fix this by clicking our repair prompt and we will try and reconnect the webhook. If this does not work please try disconnecting and reconnecting to your project.
